North Carolina Highway Patrol: Insist that trooper Charles Jones be unable to interact with any K-9 units.

Back in 2007, trooper Charles Jones was dismissed from his position due to abuse to a K-9 unit. Jones was accused of kicking his K-9 unit, Ricoh, after suspending him from a loading dock, in which the dog's feet barely touch the ground. This was in response to the dog's inability to obey his training. After the video was discovered, it led to Jones' immediate dismissal from the force.

After the initial dismissal, he appealed in order to re-obtain his position. Upon winning his appeal, he is to be reinstated with backpay. 

If he is to be reinstated to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, I ask that he be barred from interacting with any K-9 units or other animals during his work. It has already been proven that he has abused a K-9 unit, and he should not be allowed the opportunity to repeat the action. 

That is why this petition has been formed, to formally request of the North Carolina Highway Patrol that if he is to be rehired, that he not be given any opportunity to be near these animals.
