Skateboarding is a tremendously creative pastime that emphasizes physical activity and discipline. North Brunswick Township should take this sport seriously and invest in our community by developing a skatepark for the good of the constituents. Skateboarding is a hobby that people are passionate about, and that is easily safer that sports such as football. North Brunswick has invested large resources into traditional sports and has left skateboarders with empty parking lots and cracked sidewalks. Skateboarding keeps kids away from drinking and drugs and allows them to channel their energy into a healthy activity. North Brunswick should not be left behind by other towns in the area. We need to invest in a skatepark to help maintain North Brunswick as a fun and attractive place to live.
