HTC did it. They unlocked the bootloader for older phones. So, independent developers could work. Sony did it too; they release tools for bootloader unlocking. The warranty was our problem. Its our option. Nokia, you gave up with symbian. There are still some updates, but symbian is almost dead. It will give you popularity. You have to deal with Windows Phone. And then, you sold some Lumias with the unlocked bootloader, right? So, why not release the bootloader for these First Generation S^3 such as the N8? Wouldnt be bad for anyone. Come on, Nokia. Release the bootloaders and the drivers, help the independent developers.
