Deny BP A Seismic Survey Permit for Simpson Lagoon, in the Beaufort Sea

The Issue

In 2010 British Petroleum (BP) caused the biggest oil spill in history. Now BP is planning to do a seismic survey in the fragile Arctic Beaufort Sea, Simpson Lagoon. This home to Bow head, Beluga and gray whales is still somewhat a mystery yet BP plans to blast this shallow bay and barrier islands with sounds >160dB upwards 230>dB 24 hours a day for 50 days. If oil is found than BP would begin drilling in a habitat where a spill is impossible to control or clean up. BP's negligent track record must be considered. We the people demand BP be denied a permit to conduct seismic testing in the Fragile Simpson Lagoon, Barrier Islands in the Beaufort Sea.
