It is long past the time to end the archaic "corporate welfare" taxpayer subsidies to big oil, who make more money and profits than any other industry and channel that money into the creation of the world's biggest, best, renewable energy industry that will provide 10's of millions of good paying American jobs. Our addiction to oil is raping us at the pumps and in our homes, helps support terrorism, is a gaping hole in our national security and  is a big part of our trade imbalance. It is senseless to continue giving them billions of dollars a year desperately needed here at home. If we fail at that we have failed ourselves and doomed our children and our planet. That is the take-a-way from the Gulf tragedy! I would be extremely grateful to all who sign the petition and re-post it in all appropriate places.
