Two members of Pussy Riot, Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova are serving two-year prison sentences for "hooliganism motivated by religious hatred," the court recently banned the Cathedral punk prayer which the prosecution used as evidence.
The court also disallowed the freed Pussy Riot member Yekaterina Samutsevich from testifying and authorized fining websites that host it.
The Russian goverment under President Putin by taking these actions has just placed the first brick back into the wall.
This combined with Putin's encouragement of violent anti LGBT gangs and outrageous laws banning our peoples from gathering or speaking is intolerable. The Olympics are a highly visible event and being on Russian soil, no better place than that to show our outrage or not show up at all.
