After another phenomenal Olympic ice hockey tournament, fans are once again left in the unfair position of having to fret over whether or not we will be able to experience this again in four years.

The Olympics are the pinnacle of international competition. The patriotism and national pride generated cannot be replicated by the World Championships or the World Cup of Hockey.

NHL fans want to see NHL players in the Olympics. After supporting the NHL and the NHLPA through two recent work stoppages, fans should not be forced to hold their breath every four years while these two groups selfishly refuse to make a strong commitment to future Olympic participation.

It is time for NHL hockey fans to send a clear message to the NHL and the NHLPA that non-participation in the Olympics is unacceptable.

By signing this petition, I agree to boycott any NHL game scheduled to take place during the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. I will neither buy a ticket to an NHL game nor will I watch one on TV until the Olympics have finished.

By sending a loud and clear message that NHL fans will not financially support a league that does not value their opinions, it will finally become evident to the NHL and the NHLPA that Olympic participation is non-negotiable.
