The Urge Bar and Lounge, a mainstay gay establishments in NYC's East Village, is
seeking to relocate from its current location at 31 2nd Avenue, NYC, to 14 Avenue B, NYC (the former site of the bar/restaraunt, Butterfly, Inc.).

The owner of the building where Urge is currently located is not renewing their
lease as he wants to convert the premises and building into condominiums .

The East Village, unfortunately, has very few openly gay bars and lounges as is.
However, in order for Urge to remain open and continue to operate, it needs the
NYS Liquor Authority to grant its application for a new liquor license.

We, the undersigned are concerned patrons, neighbors, and advocates who support the establishment of The Urge Bar and Lounge at 14 Avenue B, NYC, and, likewise, support the granting of a liquor license by the NYS Liquor Authority.
