Targeting: Mayor Bloomberg, Speaker Quinn, NYC Council Members
This is a petition supporting New York City Council Intro 375. Send a message to Council Speaker Christine Quinn and Mayor Michael Bloomberg that the time has come for common sense alternate side of the street parking regulations.
When streets are closed off for the purposes of street cleaning, Intro 375 would allow drivers to park on the restricted side of a street if the street has already been cleaned or if they remain in their cars and are ready to move when the street is ready to be cleaned. This is a practice that is already unofficially adopted in many neighborhoods across the city.
Allowing cars to park after the street cleaning vehicle has passed neither hampers traffic flow nor the quality of the street cleaning available, and we believe it is an easy solution for a difficult problem facing many of our city’s residents.

Parking Ticket Petition
Mayor Bloomberg, Speaker Quinn and NYC Council Members:
Please accept this "Parking Ticket Petition" as a symbol of our collective frustration at the current state of alternate side parking regulations in our neighborhoods. It represents the stress, financial burden, and lost time we face every day as we struggle to accomplish daily activities and also park our cars. Please support Intro 375 and tell the city to stop unfairly raising revenue off the backs of its working and middle class families.

I request that you support Intro 375, a simple solution for a crucial quality of life issue affecting our community. If you are already in support of it, I thank you for your support and ask that you continue to fight for this issue at City Hall.
