Amend the new ANBL policy and allow microbreweries to sell beer on-site to the public for consumption off-site without selling any through ANBL first.

The Issue

This matter should be dealt with while looking at the potential the new microbrewing industry has for the Province of New Brunswick. Small, local entrepreneurs will be hindered by these new regulations, not allowing them to sell beer on-site to the public prior to meeting stringent new requirements put forth by the NB government to move large quantities of product through the NBLC for 12 months. To be noted in the case where Mr. Mitch Biggar of Railcar Brewing Company had submitted an application for a license to sell directly to the public on-site, is the fact that he had product ready for sale, and was not made aware of the coming changes until it was too late to not make any product and package it.
