Everyone agrees that the first year of the Needham Farmers Market was a great success. Going forward, the Market can stay on the lawn of First Parish Church for one more year, but the Market Committee believes that it would be better to relocate across the street, to the Needham Town Common. The Market could expand at the Common from the current 8 vendors to 12 next year. The Common is a central location, surrounded by businesses that benefit from the increased foot traffic the market brings on Sundays. The Common has walkways for shoppers, and the road in front of Town Hall could accommodate several of the busiest vendors, reducing the Market's impact on the grass.
