NBC reimagined The Munsters as a dark family comedy. They spent millions getting the look and tone just right. Then they put it on Friday night opposite CSI:NY, hamstringing its ratings chances. The show is smart, funny, and well written with some of the least pandering dialogue on television. Besides, it has Eddie Izzard and a dragon!
