This show does not portray the reality of Dominicans in the United States. We are so much more than the characters depicted on this show.  To choose this cast of characters and overlook the many hard-working, goal oriented and educated Dominicans, sends the wrong message to the rest of society. The goal of this show was to show viewers what it is like to live in Washington Heights, which today is mainly inhabited by Dominicans. Instead this show created another version of Jersey shore but with Dominicans. This show is not my reality and not the reality of many Dominicans I know whether from the Heights or not.
