In one opinion survey after another, the public clearly says that the rich and the corporations should pay (more) taxes; we should control runaway health care costs through a public option (creating competition to drive down private health insurance costs) and that we should get out of Iraq and Afghanistan and reduce Pentagon spending.

The fact is that the People's Budget is the public's position - across party lines.  That's why it is truly a centrist initiative, at the broad center of the US political spectrum.  Ryan soley reflects the wishes of the rich and the far right while crushing the poor and middle class.  

Only the People's Budget speaks to the broad needs and values of the American people.

The People WANT, and our country urgently NEEDS the "People's Budget."  

We need the PRESIDENT to FIGHT for the "People's Budget."

Mr. President -- FIGHT for The PEOPLE'S BUDGET

Greetings,

While "The People" have been feverishly fighting relentless local attacks on our civil rights and financial survival this year, the Congress has been attacking us on a federal level - seemingly on parallel strategies with the new, out of control state and local officials.

In the last 3 months, "The People" have marched in freezing weather, walked for hours getting recall signatures, forced TV dinners onto our families, attended teach-ins, and made donations from our already meager and stretched budgets. We built networks on facebook, learned to tweet, made endless phone calls, and typed out a myriad of emails to elected officials. We've researched the issues; monitored voting schedules and meetings; and called, emailed and begged our state congressmen for what shouldn't HAVE to be defended in the U.S.

We have observed main stream media and it's liberal blackout; even monitoring Fox News and gnashing our teeth having to listen to Limbaugh. (MCNBC has been our only hope, thus far.)

In the midst of blisters, typing cramps, some cranky spouses, and what sometimes seems futility, there has been some great experiences and wonderful new friends -- and we are winning a few battles -- on the local front. We'll continue to fight within our states.

The national front is another story. We need help. We need YOUR help.

We urgently need The "PEOPLE'S BUDGET."

"Go out and MAKE me DO IT!" came from your lips just last month at town hall meetings -- and we heard you. It was a call to action.

Mr. President, consider this petition as YOUR Call To Action, Sir. It's time.
