MPG FRAUD: Ford Motor Company: Buy back our 2013 Ford Fusion /Cmax Hybrids & Stop False Advertising 47/47/47mpg

The Issue

Building and programing a car based on EPA tests rather than real world driving and enjoyment is simply bad business. Who ever decided or approved this decision should be fired for tainting what I believed would have been the "Prius Killer" they had thought. It had sleek styling with an amazing interior that way surpassed the look and style of a Prius. Then the amazing advertised mpg numbers of 47 city 47 highway 47 combined made this purchase a an easy choice for everyone. But instead of meeting or even coming close the EPA estimate, car owners like myself are seeing anywhere from 32 to 38 mpg. This is not a few mpgs below or over the EPA estimate this is 20 to 30% lower then advertised EPA estimate. My average has been 37mpg, to obtain 37mpg i've had to accelerate no faster then 1700 to 2000rpm to get to speed, then turning on ECCO Cruise and then watch to maintain EV mode as long as possible. My "Acceleration, Braking, Cruising" based on Ford's display shows at or near 100% for each bar. Yet I and many others cant even reach 40mpg. Also driving like this is distracting and annoying for myself as well as everyone behind me. This has put an extremely bad taste in my mouth and that of other Ford buyers. We all complained but were told we don't know how to drive correctly to get the 47mpg, you people are just mashing the pedal and driving too fast. This even though our "Coaching" bars are showing 100% as proof that we're driving as Ford's manual recommended. If we're driving so bad then Ford has the obligation to show buyers how we should be driving. But NO ONE at Ford that has driven these cars can achieve the MPG themselves. Once thats used up they blame it on "break-in period", "you haven't hit the break-in period of 2k, oh no i mean 3k, oh no i meant 5k, oh you know what it's 6k, and finally 10k. I asked the dealer "am I going to get 25% more fuel economy after I hit the "break-in period", no answer, just a shrug. After the breakin-period passes they will say that its just too cold to get good mpgs right now and that I should wait till summer to get near 47mpg. Wait till summer?? The issue at hand is that Ford offers no real solution to the problem. If they want to blame cold for the problem then Ford should provide at their cost, block heaters, grill guards or even better install a thermos for the coolant like Toyota. To put faith back in the Ford brand please buy back our vehicles and stop advertising 47/47/47 mpg and hiding behind the "You're mileage may vary" statement. There hasn't been a single independent review that shows the Cmax or the Fusion anywhere near 47mpg. Consumers will not standby and get ripped off of more gas money because of bad engineering and decision making at Ford. Two lawsuits have been filed in Cailfornia and I know for sure many more will follow.
