Proposition B, the PUPPY MILL CRUELTY PREVENTION ACT was passed by the majority of registered voters in Missouri in November of 2010. This Ballot initiative was undertaken after years of trying unsuccessfully to persuade the legislators in Missouri to take action againt the cruel LEGAL and ILLEGAL puppy mills in Missouri! MISSOURI VOTERS!!!!!! PLEASE SIGN! CALL GOVERNOR NIXON at 573-751 3222 AND email at consrv@mo.gov Urge Governor Nixon to VETO any attempt to modify or repeal Proposition B! The Missouri Senate and House of Representatives have introduced several Senate and House Bills to try to completely destroy Proposition B! We cannot allow this to happen! The senators and representatives of these puppy mill owners will be responsible for the continuing torture of millions of innocent dogs if we do not take action!

We are asking that you VETO any attempt to amend or repeal Proposition B! This ballot initiative was undertaken after years of trying to persuade Missouri legislators to take action against the cruel LEGAL and ILLEGAL large breeding facilities in Missouri. Proposition B helped to correct some of the current unenforceable, inadequate Missouri Department of Agriculture regulations that allowed the neglect, abuse and torture of innocent dogs. CRUEL REGULATIONS INCLUDE, but are not limited to: (A) Formula for Space required for 1 dog 24" long=24+6=30 squared=900divided by 144=6.25 sq. ft. OR 2.5 FT BY 2.5 FT space ALLOWED FOR A DOG 2 FEET LONG! If each dog in a cage meets these minimum space requirements, a breeder can cram as many dogs as they want to in one cage and NEVER LET THEM OUT OF THE CAGE THE REST OF THEIR LIVES! NO EXERCISE REQUIRED! (B) Dogs allowed to be housed in outside sheds with NO TEMPERATURE CONTROLS at all! THEY ARE LEFT TO FREEZE AND BURN in temperatures ranging from -20F to 110F.(C) Dogs only have to be offered water ONCE EVERY EIGHT HOURS! DOGS being left outside in 98F temperatures with NO WATER! (D) Dogs are being BRED EVERY HEAT cycle! This causes extreme stress on their bodies, malnutrition, uterine damage, uterine infections,compromised immune systems and shortened life spans! (E) NO veterinary care required! Dogs are bred every heat cycle with NO REQUIREMENT FOR VETERINARY CARE! They are found by inspectors in breeding facilities with SEVERE INJURIES, receiving NO VET CARE! The only current requirement is that a state designated employee do regularly scheduled(unenforceable),"walk throughs." (F) NO LIMIT on the number of dogs these breeding facilities have! Some of these facilities are operating with ONE THOUSAND DOGS and 10 EMPLOYEES! IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to give adequate care, love and attention in a household with only several dogs! GOVERNOR, please VETO! Thank you for your time!
