This is important because it's an extreme act of intrusion on privacy. Microsoft recently revealed their next generation of home console, and to the surprise of many the kinect hardware is being forced upon its consumer base. Configuration of the next generation console should have an option to disable kinect hardware. I am making a petition to stop the forced use of kinect due to privacy concerns. Current information suggests Kinect will be required to use the home console and will always be on. During which time the camera and microphone could potentially be recording anything you are saying or doing. The data of which could be used for any means. Our private information should be used how we WANT it to be used, An ultimatum of simply not to buy the console is unacceptable, as this does not prevent those who choose to buy the console from having their information compromised. Help stop Microsoft and others from making this intrusion on your privacy.
