It is important because there are thousands of programmers worldwide who were forced to upgrade their skills to a new undesired development environment. These programmers as I, still on 2013, produce software using VB6, but our future is unclear because Microsoft decided to cut support for this product, forcing us to use a replacement (VB6.NET, a totally different product, but with the same original's label) which is slow, difficult to use and less productive than its predecessor. Please Gates bring us back VB6!
