The people of the MBTA--the MBTA loyalists, the mass transit fanatics, those who chose not to drive, parents with small children, mobility impaired people, tourists, sports fans, and more, are not being served by the current plan of only allowing access through the front doors on the Green Line except maybe, sometimes during rush hour or maybe sometimes at certain heavily used stops. Current plan is dangerous (congestion, pushing and missteps are not uncommon), delays the Green Line (all those folks muscling their way to the front delay people getting on) and increases the hassle factor of using mass transit on this line. There are other ways to reduce fare evasion (the stated purpose of the change).
