We support your endeavour, Mayor Bloomberg, to ban styrofoam cups in New York City. New York has a large waste disposal problem and banning styrofoam cups would help relieve some of the issue. This would save New York City money in clean up costs, waste disposal, and other ways. Styrofoam also is harmful to the environment, and with the global warming-enduced storms recently on NYC like Hurricane Sandy and Winter Storm Nemo, we must do everything we can to prevent more storms like this and save lives. This would be a huge step forward for the environment, reducing costs in NYC, and preventing more landfills. We support you, Mayor Bloomberg. Please don't let us down.
