Save Honolua Bay by preserving the 150 Acres of Lipoa Point

Save Honolua Bay by preserving the 150 Acres of Lipoa Point

The Issue

Thousand's of visitors who live or are visiting Maui come to Honolua Bay each year because they appreciate it's Natural Beauty while they enjoy Surfing, Snorkeling and a variety Marine Activities. They share the bay with Sea Turtles, Dolphins, Manta and Spotted Eagle Rays, Humback Whales and Thousands of other species of fish and sea-life as well as one of the best reef's in the state. When just one large house was built on the South side of Honolua Bay a few years ago the damage to the reef due to runoff from the development did extensive damage and still has not recovered to it's previous condition/health. This enviroment is very sensitive and it is already been acknowledged as owning some of the most polluted water on Maui so how can we keep Honolua Bay a Marine Sanctuary and allow development just on shore.
