Is a human-chimp hybrid possible? Of course it is!

Read this article by Richard Dawkins about the human-chimp hybrid. Someone please do it!!

If researchers would do the "unthinkable" and create a manpanzee-half human, half chimp-hybrid-which is absolutely possible, it would FOREVER change man's perception of himself that humans are ANOTHER SPECIES OF ANIMAL and NOT above them: We are what they are.  The religious right would no longer have political power. No more "intelligent design" in class debates. The birth of a single humaneze would change the course of history forever.   For this reason, I urge the Yerkes Primate Research to please bring about this hybrid. In the interest of humanity, in the interest of science.

BODY OF LETTER:

THINK OF IT-should a half human, half chimp ever be created, it will forever bring a whole new awareness to human beings-NOT separate, but PART of the animal kingdom; this would bring a whole new awareness to what human beings truly are. There is much talk about hybridization between a human and chimp, but there would be great advantages doing so:

(1) It would forever prove beyond all doubt that humans, along with other primates, share a common ancestor. There would be no more talk about introducing "Intelligent design" in classrooms.

(2) It would prove beyond all doubt that human beings, too, are another species of great Ape. This can already be proven genetically and even behavior studies. The creation of a manpanzee or humaneze would be absolutely flawless to prove this beyond all doubt.

(3) Chimpanzees have a resistance against HIV seroconverting to AIDS (I believe only one chimp has ever done this). A humaneze would bring you closer to developing a cure for HIV. In fact, this has great potential for opening doors to finding many different vaccines not restricted to HIV.

(4) The humaneze would give great insight about our ancient ancestors. It would in essence bring prehistoric man...to life. It would bring much knowledge about how prehistoric man's ancestors lived!

 (5) Evangelicals have too much political power-the humaneze or manpanzee would put them in their place so they can no longer stifle such essential research such as stem cells due to being "Against God's will" and other religious dogmas. I advocate the birth of a manpanzee, at least once, to prove this point that human beings are just another great ape species-because churches have entirely TOO MUCH POWER and dictate federal laws such as stem cell research suppression, gay marriage banning, and even anti-abortion issues, based on Biblical beliefs (which would mean our country is Baptist fundamentalist nation).  With nearly 7 billion people in the world, the more people that prevent the birth of children-THE BETTER-any means possible; population control is our only salvation. The manpanzee is a big reality check-and a necessary one essential for our survival as a species. This single manpanzee will help ensure our survival by this big reality check.

My understanding is the following, that such a hybrid should be possible:
Humans have one less pair of chromosomes than other apes, since the ape chromosomes 2p and 2q have fused into a large chromosome (which contains remnants of the centromere) is not an absolute barrier to hybridization. Similar mismatches are relatively common in existing species, a phenomenon known as chromosomal polymorphism. Keep in mind Mongolid children also have an extra pair of chromosomes.

The genetic structure of all the great apes is similar. Chromosomes 6, 13, 19, 21, 22, and X are structurally the same in all great apes. 3, 11, 14, 15, 18, and 20 match between gorillas, chimpanzees, and humans. Chimps and humans match on 1, 2p, 2q, 5, 7 - 10, 12, 16, and Y as well. Some older references will include Y as a match between gorillas, chimps, and humans, but chimpanzees (including bonobos) and humans have recently been found to share a large transposition from chromosome 1 to Y that is not found in other apes.

I would like to further understand the origins of man and unlock many potential cures for human diseases with the manpanzee, and ask that your Research manifest the Manpanzee or humaneze.
