Mandatory Sentencing and Registration for All Sex Crimes

Greetings,

I'm asking for Congress to enact new laws dictating mandatory sentencing and registration for all sex based crimes. There should be no pleading down for sexually based offenses that involve any form of violence or molestation. Too many rapists and molestors are granted plea deals, which also exempt them from having to register as sexual offenders. Many serve no time in prison, and are free to rape again. It's well past time to strengthen laws to protect our women and children from sexual predators.

The misdemeanor sexual battery charge and delayed sentencing are part of a plea agreement that Virginia Rockbridge County Circuit Judge Michael Irvine accepted at a hearing on the eve of Stephen Julius Lloyd’s jury trial.
Judge Michael Irvine felt that Stephen Julius Lloyd would just rehabilitate himself. Statistics reveal it's rare for someone to go from rapist to upstanding citizen. He raped a young lady, was given a suspended sentence for three whole long years and let’s just see if he has learned how to keep his hands to himself. Let’s set him free and facilitate him being able to ravage another person’s life.
If Stephen Julius Lloyd rapes again, and statistics are in favor of that, I truly believe Judge Michael Irvine should be held accountable. I know that won’t happen, but if it could, maybe sentences would be more worthy of the crimes.
This is absolutely disgusting.
CHANGE is what we need to demand.
Oh, and btw, Stephen Julius Lloyd is NOT registerd as a sex ofender in Virginia b/c the judge ruled the way he chose to rule.
