This petition is for mandating that US employers use E-Verify to verify that potential employees are legal to be employed in the United States prior to hiring the potential employee.  This action will keep unscrupulous employers from taking advantage of immigrants.  Mandating E-Verify will ensure Amercian people that US jobs are being filled by people that are legally eligible to be employed in this country.  Mandating E-Verify will also help identify cases of identity theft and fraud in employment and tax evasion.
