It's the economy, stupid! The cost of pet food for both dogs and cats has doubled and in some cases even tripled in the last five years. People are strapped, cannot afford their beloved pets and much of that reason is the cost of feeding them. These rising costs are UNCONSCIONABLE and have led to many families making the difficult decisions to relinquish ownership or in some cases simply dump them - animal shelters throughout the country are over-flowing. Purina Pet food industry is really to blame for much of this!!!!!
