I have been raising four chickens since June of 2012 as part of my high school Graduation Project. When my chicks first arrived they were less than one day old; cute, little fluffs that fit right into the palm of my hand. Since then, I have built a coop and structure in my backyard for my chickens to live in, that is ten by twelve feet and is seven feet tall. They have been living there since August of 2012 and I have gotten no complaints from my neighbors so far. Unfortunately, one of my beloved birds passed away about two months ago, leaving me with only three chickens. It has been hard enough losing one of my pets, because that is what they are to me, pets.
