Change the design of the "Sorority Girl" wine glass

Change the design of the "Sorority Girl" wine glass
The Issue
I am a member of the Theta Psi chapter of Alpha Phi sorority at SUNY Plattsburgh. A few days ago, one of my Alpha Phi sisters, Sara, from my chapter ordered the "Sorority Girl" glass from the Lolita Wine Glass company. The picture of the glass on the website has the words "Sorority Girl" on the front with Greek letters mixed into the words. The glass looks nice and classy and like it shines a positive light on Greek life by representing the right things.
When Sara received the glass, it was not at all what she thought it would be (the picture featured with this petition). One side of the glass has a keg with empty red cups with the words, "throws the best keggers." The opposite side has the paddle with Roman letters on it with the word "survived" on it. The current design on the glass promotes hazing and partying. These are two things we do not associate with Greek life. In addition, when this was brought to the companies attention, they mearly shrugged it off. To read the email that Sara sent and see a picture of the glass from the website, read the following post. http://hyperemmy.blogspot.com/2014/07/sorority-girl-lolita-wine-glass.html
We ask that Lolita Wine Glass company change the design of the glass to represent sororities, and Greek life as a whole, better. The design could include images that convey scholorship, sisterhood, family, loyalty, or leadership, just as a few examples. This would better show the values that sororities believe in.
Members of Greek organizations are working very hard to break the "partying and careless" stereotype that is associated with them. However, it is hard to do that when companies like Lolita Wine Glass Company design their products that promote the demeaning stereotype. This company needs to do some research on what sororities are truly about and change their design.
