The insidious legislative money siphon might soon take shape of TRAFFIC SPEED CAMERAS to further bleed money out of the people while breaching our civil liberties. This latest tactic to BILK money from the people living in this state reads like a passage from George Orwell's novel. The scheme is being touted as a "safety policy". Big Brother's Speed cameras will ensure that you are a "perfect" driver 100% of the time you're on the road. If you happen to drift a few miles over the speed limit, the camera will catch you and you will pay out of your pocket. This grossly invasive, aggressive tactic must be stopped before it gets any traction. A public service interest group found that red light cameras that are already placed throughout NYC actually CAUSE more accidents. This point has been conveniently overlooked because of the obvious fiscal advantages.
Tell Assemblymen Matt Titone and Lou Tobacco that this grossly invasive, aggressive tactic will not be tolerated.
