Have a Public Casting Call for Unknown Black Actresses, models, etc.. to play the role of Aaliyah in the upcoming biopic

The Issue

Honor Aaliyahs legacy by actually honoring her heritage

I wish Zendaya sucess in her future projects but this petition is for the ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY TO KNOW We as black women don't feel respected and we are taking SOME KIND OF STAND against a problem that has been going on for a long time now.

Black Women are being raplaced by Bi-racial women in all aspects of the mass media. We've never denied them being apart of our race "but"  It's INSULTING to African American women to have an Icon in their community portrayed by someone that isn't of the same ethnicity and looks nothing like her. For years Black women have slowly seen black women faded out. ASK THIS.was Ray Charles, Ali, and Malcom X PLAYED BY Bi-racial men, would black men allow this??? WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO BLACK WOMEN??WHY IS IT ALLOWED???

This is a role of a lifetime that Black women should have had the chance to play about the life of a young African American girl who went on star seach, worked hard, and followed her dream..Who was a huge star in the African American community long before "mainstream" America decided to truly give her props when "try again" exploded. We remember "One in a million"  and " At your best"

WE WERE HERE WHEN SHE FIRST CAME ON THE SCENE AND HER TRUE FANS ARE HERE NOW..she is a black woman , she is of the black race/community..and We want a TRUE representation of her
