The millions of dollars spent prosecuting marijuana users and the tax revenue earned could be invested into things like infrastructure, schools, and other important entities that lack sufficient finding.

I just signed the following petition addressed to: Texas Lawmakers.

We the Undersigned, would like this country and the great state of Texas to stop making moral decisions for us. We want the legalization, regulation, and taxation of Marijuana, and we want it today. We have edjucated ourselves on this issue and believe it to be in the best interest of our community, state, and country. For far to long Marijuana has been lumped in with hard drugs while study after study proves it to not only be less harmful than alchohol, but to have many medicinal applications as well. We are tired of seeing friends and family jailed for possesion of a substance that isn't hurting anyone. Texas is the greatest state in the land and has a long history of priding itself on freedom for all. However on this issue the will of a few has won out against the will of the people and the people will not stand for it any longer. The people of this great state want Marijuana to be available for our sick and dying as well as the average citizen that uses for their own reasons. Please take the time to give this issue the attention and dedication is needs and deserves. Thank you for taking time out to read this letter. We elected you and we have faith you will fight for what the people want.
