I think that marijuana should be legal for a number of different reasons.

If it were legal, people wouldnt grow as much because all their customers would be growing their own. Plus farmers would have a new cash crop instead of trying to pull a salary off milk and corn. Not to mention the boom in the snack food industry. It makes me angry cops put their lives on the line for something as harmless as cotton. We waste $88.6 billion every year on a stupid drug war that isn’t working any more than Prohibition. But Americans are dumber now. It took only 14 years to realize the 18th Amendment wasn’t working until we ratified the 21st. Can anyone tell me why we continue “enforcing” these drug laws? I’d much rather be around people smoking marijuana (which is harmless) than people smoking cigarettes and/or alcohol.
