I have recently moved into a rental property that states I can not have pets. On the lease it says that if I am caught with an animal of any kind, I will be asked to remove it within 72 hours or they will start eviction proceedings. I have noticed that all around me are small dogs, so when I called my landlord I was told that if he is over 35 pounds I can not keep him. Well, my heart just fell to pieces! I bottle fed him and he has been apart of my family for 6 years and now someone tells me I have to basically "throw him away". This is SO unfair to my family and him who knows no one but us, his family! He is 104 pounds, chews nothing nor has he ever torn up anything. He thinks he is a lap dog and loves everybody.

I would love to get some kind of justice done for other families as well on this subject. Of you really think about it, no wonder animal shelters are full and family pets are put down. It is the landlords that contribute to this matter. That need to understand that our pets are our family and not just something we can throw away. Ask them to throw their animal away! Let's see what they do! Basically, they are loving on their pet while we are crying tears for ours. What is fair? Please sign if you love your pet. Not only will help someone like me but also the pet that loves their family! Pets have feelings too!
