Castlevania started off on Nintendo and has garnered quite the fanbase there over the years. Even without being on their home consoles anymore (for the most part) they still come to the handhelds. These games are loved and bought just the same as the original console ones years ago.

Nintendo fans would like to see the return of this vampire slaying series back on the home consoles as well. This game would be a good start for that to happen, since you won't really have missed much from the original.
