Tau is disastrous to the mathematical community. Tau-proponents claim that pi is wrong and that tau, or 2 pi, is the correct circle constant. Armed with selective bias, they provide many formulae which are seemingly more powerful with tau, and not pi. However, this is completely selective bias! There are a trillion more formulae which are much more powerful with pi. Additionally, since we have been using pi since 300 BCE, tau is going to cause a myriad of confusion among to-be mathematicians!

The Khan Academy is an educational institution which provides great learning materials to students, all for free! The Khan Academy is an excellent source of information, and both its material and objective are excellent.

Unfortunately, Vi Hart, a strong proponent of tau, has joined the Khan Academy and Khan Academy is now supporting tau.
