Westboro Baptist Church is monitored by the Anti-Defamation League and Southern Poverty Law Center as a hate group.

Their activities involve spreading hatred of homosexuals, Roman Catholics, Eastern Orthodoxy, Muslims and Jews, picketing funerals resulting in further emotionally traumatizing the families of the deceased and other forms of harassment.
