Justice for Toxic Exposure Ft McClellan Veterans

The Issue

Many U.S. Army Veterans were exposed to toxic PCB'S and other toxins while serving active duty at Ft McClellan Alabama; The Ft McClellan Health Registry Act HR 2052  is currently pending review before the House Committee on Veterans Affairs. (It has not passed into law yet.) It will create a list of those exposed forcing the VA to keep a listing, studying and comparing disorders and illnesses, and to contact and assist these veterans with their serious health problems, and service connected disability claims. Currently the Veterans Administration and Dept of Defense has not actively sought to notify veterans who were stationed there. Many veterans state their claims go into appeals, and into years of waiting with no hope of outcome for the veterans sickened and affected. Many are gone and more are losing this battle.  In some cases it also affects the children they have born. The CBS program 60 Minutes once called Fort Mac the most toxic place on the planet. It reportedly is the only chem/bio facility in the Army where live substances were manufactured, stored, and used in training. The McClellan cocktail includes PCB'S, depleted uranium, sarin gas, mustard gas, and various other bacterial, nerve and chemical agents. This Bill would assist veterans in no cost medical care, and service connected claims, which they desperatley need.  Please help us by signing this very important registry act.  Thank you.
