Vancouver, WA:  A Portland woman accused of throwing her boyfriend’s dog into traffic has been arrested. During an argument while driving along Interstate 205, Shellie Hubbard allegedly cut her boyfriends hand with a broken coffee mug. When he stopped the car along the side of the interstate, Hubbard allegedly picked up his Catahoula leopard dog, Peanut Butter, and intentionally threw the dog into oncoming traffic. Peanut Butter was struck by a car and killed.

Ironically, last year Hubbard’s boyfriend had rescued Peanut Butter from the side of the freeway.

Hubbard was arraigned on January 4th. She pleaded not guilty to the felony charges of animal cruelty, domestic violence assault, as well as drug charges.

Shellie Hubbard’s trial is set for March 19, 2012 at the Clark County WA Superior Court. This petition respectfully requests that if found guilty, Shellie Hubbard be given the maximum sentence(s), and that she never be allowed to own animals.
