Justice for Harold McMillan

The Issue

Harold McMillan, founder of DiverseArts Culture Works, in Austin, Texas, was a victim of racial profiling and police brutality on April 5, 2012. He was falsely arrested at Houston Memorial Hermann Hospital while attempting to retrieve the belongings of his deceased brother.

Harold McMillan is a devout father, mentor, musician, advocate of the arts and culture, and an Austin legend.

The mission of this petition is to seek justice and vindication for Harold by spreading the word to as many sources as possible while attaining expert legal representation on his behalf.

The City of Houston must officially pardon Harold and bring the officers who abused their positions of power to justice.

The Houston Police Department is aware of the incident involving Mr. McMillan that occurred on April 5, 2012. Please know that the Houston Police Department does have an Internal Affairs Division that investigates complaints of misconduct by Houston Police Department employees. Houston Police officers are reminded daily of the awesome responsibility they have been entrusted with on and off duty and the need to conduct themselves in a safe, courteous and professional manner. Mr. McMillan, if he chooses to, can file a complaint at any time with our Internal Affairs Division and can contact them at 713-308-0040 for more information on how to do so.
