The President of Chick-fil-A has admitted clear opposition to same-sex marriage, adding support of the "biblical definition of the family unit." Though the company has attempted to neutralize some of the backlash of these statements, Chick-fil-A offers no employment protections to LGBT individuals and fires employees whom they believe engage in "sinful behavior."

On the other hand, IUPUI has made a commitment to honor diversity of all individuals "regardless of race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, or disability" as it relates to "awareness, education, and practice at every level of the organization." Therefore, it stands to reason that IUPUI should "practice" its commitment to diversity and remove Chick-fil-A from the campus food offerings immediately.
