Irish Restaurants: Stop Serving Cruel Foie Gras

The Issue

Foie gras is a particularly disgusting "delicacy" produced by force-feeding geese and ducks with large amounts of grain. A metal pipe is thrust down their throats 2-3 times per day, resulting in their livers swelling up to 10 times the normal size. When the birds are killed for their livers, they are suffering from a disease called hepatic lipidosis.
