Violence to animals is a clear indicator of psychopathic behavior. Not to Judge Joe Smith, however, who released Sheila Cornwell after she hung her boyfriend's dog, watched him die and then told the judge, she had no idea why she did it.   He gave her no jail time because he believes she's not a danger to society.   Animal control officers were shocked by her lack of remorse. This judgement on Joe Smith's part shows alarming ignorance and callousness. He is clearly sending a message that animals' lives don't matter.
