Deny BP A Seismic Survey Permit for Simpson Lagoon, in the Beaufort Sea

The Issue

In 2010 British Petroleum (BP) caused the biggest oil spill in history. Now BP is planning to do a seismic survey in the fragile Arctic Beaufort Sea, Simpson Lagoon. This home to Bow head, Beluga and gray whales is still somewhat a mystery yet BP plans to blast this shallow bay and barrier islands with sounds >160dB upwards 230>dB. NOAA and NMFS are still accepting comments on this but the comment period ends May 31, 2012 so quickly collecting signatures is essential.
