1. Financial and Activity Transparency of School Board: Post minutes to the schools' web sites as well as any amendments or changes to the charter. When these changes affect parents, a letter should be mailed to all school community members. All financial transactions should be publicly available. An elected PTSO secretary should have regular access to accounts and a system to address and document discrepancies.
2. Due Process: Accessible, clear and documented due process to address and escalate financial and ethical issues within charter schools.
3. Ethics Policy: Establish an ethics policy and independent board for violation reporting that will not infringe on the anonymity of teachers, parents or students in fear of repercussions.
4. Address Bullying and Intimidation: Establish an anti-bullying policy such as Olweus. Establish and enforce a zero tolerance for staff members or board members who practice bullying and intimidation tactics at the school or toward school community members.
