Democracy is a fundamental right and responsibility in this country. When we, the people, elect someone to office we expect that person to have the capacity and ability to complete the tasks at hand. In 2012, 1,332,755 Hoosiers voted for Glenda Ritz. More people voted for Ritz than for now Governor Mike Pence (1,275,424). 

The un-elected State Board of Education is seeking to strip Ritz's power because they disagree with her. Sound democratic to you? 

We don't have to agree with Ritz's politics, but this isn't political. This is fundamental to who we are as a people. Do not undercut her elected responsibilities.
