If you're tired of shrill, mean-spirited, and often inaccurate political advertising, why don't we put an end to it? It's as simple as letting the Washington State Legislature know that the only kind of political advertising we will allow in our state is the kind that doesn't mention the opponent.

If you're running for office, you can tell us about your experience, what you'll do for us, and why we should vote for you. What you can't do is toss out half-truths and bad-hair-day photos of your opponent.

Same for supporters of initiatives. You can tell us in your ads why your position is the way to go, but you can't drag supporters of the opposing view through the mud.
