Over 1.8 million service members and veterans have served in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Without a plan to bring them home, the consequences are clear: record-high unemployment, increasing substance abuse, domestic violence, failed marriages, homelessness, and suicide.
But that's not acceptable.
Along with leading veteran service organizations, nonprofits, government agencies, businesses, and universities we're saying, “Enough.”
We all have a role in ensuring veterans a healthy homecoming. Sign this petition and find yours!
We Need to Win the War at Home Too
Dear Mr. President,
As you guide our country forward in Iraq and Afghanistan, I urge you to remember the thousands of American service men and women who are coming home from war.
Rates of suicide, domestic abuse, and homelessness are on the rise, and we need a clear plan to ensure all veterans a healthy homecoming.
I support the mission of the Campaign for Healthy Homecoming, an inclusive group of national organizations, government departments, veterans, and concerned citizens, like me, whose support for the troops does not end when our service members return from deployment.
