HUCTW members were notified Jan.19, 2012 that a massive library reorganization would result in job reductions and significant job changes (Layoffs and speed-ups) for union members. We demand that HUCTW intervene immediately to save jobs for staff. HUCTW must immediately call Harvard and say “No Layoffs.” In addition Harvard needs to bargain with the union over job changes. We need an immediate phone call to Harvard to reject their timeline and to say that no HUCTW members should lose their jobs or be forced into new jobs without bargaining.
