How can you call yourself saving animals but stopping people that actually care.

The Issue

These supposed rescues started a group called Do Not Adopt To..., on this group they are bashing rescues and individuals. These groups put my name on there for going on a rampage and standing up for what is right, they also allowed a 15 and 16 year old to take 6 of their suppose to be rescues because animal control was coming. Poyner Pet Rescue has gotten dogs and breed them and then sold them for $400 per puppy, these people are not in rescue for the animals but for the money. Please everyone sign this and lets shut them down. These people need to be stopped. These people put that I have a long rap sheet on their other site, however they can't read a damn court page. I was charged with a battery at 17 years old, then some tickets, and had a forgery charge that never got filed or went to court, now they put this information on their site about me, not knowing that I couldn't do my job if I actually had any convictions. These people need to be stopped. NOW

A Chebanse Township woman'srequestfor a dog kennel was denied by the Iroquois County Board Zoning Committee.

Christina Poyner has requested a kennel for her nine pet dogs, she said at Friday's meeting. She said she had stood in front of the committee in July about a kennel for adopting out dogs but her request has changed.

She said she has nine dogs kept primarily in her 3,500 sq. ft. home which has a basement with concrete floors. She said she has three acres of land on which there are fenced in areas for the dogs to roam. Also, there is a metal shed with separate rooms and a door which leads to a fenced in area.

She said none of her animals are on the list of high risk dogs. Plus, she said six are fixed, two are scheduled to be spade May 11 and one is intact waiting for its vet papers.

She had appeared in front of the Chebanse Township Zoning Board and it denied her request.

"Chebanse Township turned me down based on a fear of safety for my kids," Poyner said. "The kids have grown up around dogs. None (of the dogs) are aggressive."

Poyner said she moved to Iroquois County last year and had fivedogsof her own. She said she had a license to foster dogs and adopt them out.

Before, she said, "I had pit bulls. I was told I couldn't have three pit bulls and I got rid of them."

She said she had fewer dogs but her aunt died around Christmas and she took in her dogs as well.

Chebanse Township regionalplanning representativeMattLindgrensaid Poyner'sstories have changed many times. He also said the county has a good ordinance in allowing a person to keep four dogs.

"We have a kennel ordinance," said Poyner's attorney Pat Murphy. He said her kennel license is renewable annually. He said if an infraction is found the license can be pulled.

He also said he has advised Poyner that if a representative of the zoning department were to visit, he or she should be let in her home to visit the animals' conditions. He advised the zoning committee a rule allowing home visits should be written in the kennel ordinance.

"Iroquois County has had really bad experiences with dogs," said committeeman Jim Meyer. "I've found that most people who love dogs have a difficult time saying no to a dog on their door step." Poyner's kennel license is for no more than nine dogs.

"We are very sensitized. We have come across some very bad homes. It's a horrendous expense (to the county) pursuing these," said Donna Crow, a committee member. She said often times its not only is it a health risk to the animals but also to the people who live with and around them.

The committee voted 5-4, denying Poyner a kennel licenses. Voting in favor of the licenses was Crow, Troy Krumwiede, Dan Pursley and Dale Schultz. VotingagainstitwasBeryl Luecke, Meyer, Donna Wasmer, Adam Zumwalt and Merle Lemenager

You have a licence that you just got in Jan 2012 but yet it seems you LOVE making yourself look bad. Because of your transport cord. putting your rescues name on BLAST all over the place I do feel sorry for you. As to your comment people need to look and see who they are following I really think you should take a step back and see who your following Christina Poyner?? Enough said. I did fill out a app with you to foster thats not a lie. The app said Mandi Trobaugh that is my name. My facebook says Mandi Lynn so what? I got a call back from a frantic person who told me she owned the rescue, that was a lie. My 15 yr old daughter the next day with her 16 yr old friend drove to meet this person who gave them (3) pups 3-4 wks old, (2)_ 10-12 week old puppies and (3) 9 mo and over dogs that just had surgury and were bleeding all over. The lady claiming to be you didnt ask for ID just DROVE AWAY.. You had NO CLUE that I had them untill I called you with concern about the dogs wound site. You informed me that SHE uses your licence all the time thats why she was only doing transports. I had to take pics of all the animals I hadand you are holding them pick over my head. You keep saying i used a fake name but yet i had your animals for how long and you did NOTHING.. Me and my family drove to Ottawa to give you back 4 of the dogs that you said people wanted to adopt. At that time you gave me a folder with all of Cadburys info 3 micrchip injections to give the 3 pups I still had. When i called my local VET she said DO NOT give them pups injections. Do to your other foster being harrassed by Christina Poyner via E-mail, Me being harrassed by your transport cord and my family member being Ill I was done with you And yes the other foster came to give you back the 4 remaining dogs because she herself was returing a dog back to you. END OF STORY.. I NEVER abused your animals.Your animals ate Blue Buffalo dog food. Went on walks, played with my children, If thats abuse then i guess i should go to jail. I find it very funny that you and your sidekicks have been trying to report me to all the shelters and animal control. But yet I DO NOT have a rescue licence or care to have one. You really give legit rescues a bad name
