I got into trouble 18 yrs. ago and can not get a job, every where does a back ground check, which I understand if it's only been 1 to 7 yrs. ago but I think after 10 yrs. you have proven yourself. I have a family to provide for.  I'm a hard worker and should have the chance to work just like everyone else. What is convicted felons suppose to do, the ones that have changed, made a mistake long time ago? It's not right, It was 18 yrs. ago and I just want to live my life, but I still feel imprisioned because I can't feel like a normal human being. There should be a law where companies can not hold it against you after 10 yrs. Now if you have messed up more than once, then yes I can see it being held against you.  I was 18 yrs. old when I messed up and now I'm 36 and still live with the mistake everyday and it's only getting worse.  We need change.  So please help me by signing this petition.  I just want to go to work like everyone else.

It's not right, I did my time 18 yrs. ago and I just want to live my life, but I still feel imprisioned because I can't make ends meet. There should be a law where companies can not hold it agaisnt you after 10 yrs. Now if you have messed up more than once, then yes I can see it being held agaisnted you.
