On April 20, 1998 my brother Wayne S. Antusas, age 18, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Wayne was 17 years old when he was arrested for this crime. He was charged 9 months after the crime with two counts of first degree murder based upon a theory of accountability. State Prosecutors coerced and forced two individuals to lie, one of which recanted their testimony against my brother.  Here is the testimony that is keeping my brother in prison. Below is the wording from Wayne's Trial Transcript:

SERIOUSLY!!! THIS TESTIMONY SENTENCED MY BROTHER TO LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE..THIS SUPPOSEDLY TOOK PLACE ON MY PARENTS FRONT PORCH STEPS. THIS IS THE FIFTH STATEMENT FROM THIS PERSON. EACH STATEMENT IS DIFFERENT.

A = Person on stand in court giving false testimony against Wayne

Q: All right, What if anything did Craze [Antusas] say at this time?

A: At that time Craze said, well he wanted to know what was going on first, you know, what everyone was doing, and we told him about, we told them all together how we are going to do it. 

Q: What did he say?

A: He said that --- I got confused.

Q: Take your time.

A: He said going through the gangway would not be too smart because that would make a lot of noise and probably get caught that way. He said he would rather do it a different way. He said what he wanted to do is go through the front of the park on and over on the side of the school and come off around on the front steps and shoot them right there and then from there have Nick Liberto waiting in the car and running, and Nick Liberto in the car and that would be the getaway car.

I am sick to me stomach about it!!

Truth: My brother was not a saint when he was a teenager, but he never killed anyone, stabbed anyone, shot anyone, robbed anyone and would never tell/order anyone to kill anyone.

FOR THE PAST 16 YEARS IN PRISON, WAYNE HAS HAD A CLEAN BEHAVIORAL RECORD, HE HAS WORKED IN PRISON, HE IS PRESENTLY TAKING COLLEGE COURSES, AND LEADS BIBLE STUDIES AND SERVICES. Please take the time to read Wayne's case and you will discover the real truth. Wayne is WITHOUT A DOUBT INNOCENT OF THIS CRIME!!!! Honorable Kazmierski Jr., you took my brother away from me, my BEST FRIEND, and he had no involvement in this crime. I think about my brother every day and how we had so much fun together when we were small. I have shed so many tears over these past 16 years knowing that Wayne is innocent and that he does not belong in prison. I look forward to the day that we can create new memories.
